About Selim Kagee
It’s not often that you encounter a voice as powerful and distinct as Selim Kagee’s, one that effortlessly tugs at the heartstrings. Described as warm and textured, Kagee’s voice possesses a special quality that has captivated audiences both nationally and internationally.
After a decade of rigorous classical voice training, his musical journey began with leading roles in renowned musicals such as ‘The Sound of Music,’ ‘Annie Get Your Gun,’ and ‘The King and I.’ Subsequently, he secured a record deal with the major label EMI Music in 2012.
His list of accolades is extensive, including collaborations with the Grammy-nominated group Celtic Woman on their Christmas Album. In 2014, he delivered a captivating performance at the esteemed Sergio Franchi Concert in Connecticut, USA. Currently, he performs as an international headline act on some of the world’s most luxurious cruise liners.
One of Kagee’s most memorable moments was his stellar rendition of the South African National Anthem live on international television before the
Boks vs Wallabies rugby match in Perth, Australia.
With an elegant and expressive stage presence, Kagee has since gone on to produce his own orchestra concerts, performing evergreen ballads and stirring originals using his unique combination of both pop and operatic vocal styles.
